Scheduled Tasks let you set up prompts that Obie runs automatically on a recurring schedule — daily, weekly, or monthly. Get reports, analyses, and updates delivered without lifting a finger.

How to Set Up a Scheduled Task

  1. Go to Settings → Obie → Scheduled Tasks

  2. Click Create Task

  3. Write the prompt you want Obie to run (e.g. a weekly report)

  4. Choose a frequency: daily, weekly, or monthly

  5. Set your timezone so tasks run at the right time

  6. Save — Obie will run this prompt automatically on schedule

What Happens When a Task Runs

  • Obie executes your prompt just like a normal chat conversation

  • The full chat history for each run is saved so you can review it anytime

  • You receive an email notification when each run completes

  • You can track run status: queued, running, completed, or failed

Use Cases

  • Weekly cross-channel report — sentiment trends, top questions, and engagement summary sent every Monday

  • Daily complaint monitor — surface any escalations or urgent issues from the past 24 hours

  • Monthly performance review — full ad campaign analysis with recommendations

  • Knowledge Base gap check — weekly scan for unanswered customer questions that could become KB articles

Managing Tasks

From the Scheduled Tasks page you can:

  • View the history and output of past runs

  • Edit the prompt or schedule

  • Pause or delete tasks you no longer need

Example Prompts for Scheduled Tasks

  • "Create a report analyzing all comments, DMs, and emails from the past 7 days. Include the most common questions, top concerns, and sentiment trends."

  • "Check for any urgent customer complaints or escalations in the last 24 hours and summarize them."

  • "Analyze my Knowledge Base against the last month of customer questions and identify the biggest gaps."
