Learn how to create campaigns with coupon codes & links to drive sales

Campaigns automatically sends personalized DMs to users who comment on your posts, based on specific criteria you set. Turn social media engagement into sales by delivering targeted offers, coupon codes, and links directly to interested customers!

For each Campaign you create, you'll be able to track:

  • Sends

  • Clicks and CTR

  • Sales & Revenue (using our Shopify app)

How It Works

When someone comments on your posts, Campaigns can:

  1. Analyze the comment to see if it matches your target criteria

  2. Send a personalized DM with your message, coupon codes, and clickable buttons

  3. Reply publicly to let others know they should check their messages (optional)

This helps you capture leads and drive sales automatically.

Campaign Setup

Creating a campaign takes 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Select Posts

The first step is choosing which social media page and posts your campaign will monitor for comments:

  • Select which Facebook or Instagram page to monitor

  • Pick specific posts, all posts, all ads, or all organic posts

Step 2: Target Audience

Define which comments will trigger your campaign using either AI-powered targeting or keyword matching.

AI Targeting (Recommended)

AI will analyze the comment and identify whether or not the campaign should trigger for that commenter based on the criteria you describe.

Example prompts:

  • "Only send to people interested in buying. Ignore negative comments."

  • "Target users asking about pricing or product details."

Keyword Matching

Target comments with specific words you choose. For example, you could make a post with the caption "Comment "SAVE" to receive 20% off your first order!"

Then, set "SAVE" as one of the keywords for your campaign and the campaign will be triggered for any user who comments with the keyword. Not only will this drive additional sales, but also boost engagement on your posts!

Step 3: What to Send

Configure what content you want to include in your DMs. You can add coupon codes, clickable buttons, or both.

If you're sending a button with a link, Brandwise will track all link clicks and their click-through-rate.

Important Note: if you have our Shopify App installed, purchases using coupon codes will be tracked within Brandwise so you can monitor the performance of your campaign.


Step 4: Message Content

Create the messages that will be sent to your audience. This step includes both the private DM and an optional public comment reply.

Direct Message (Required)

Write the private message sent to commenters when the campaign is triggered. Our AI will automatically create variations of the template you provide, ensuring each recipient receives a unique message.

Example messages:

  • "Hey! Thanks for your interest! Here's 20% off: [COUPON]. Valid for 48 hours!"

  • "Hi! I saw your comment and wanted to share something special with you."

Public Comment Reply (Optional)

In addition to the DM reply, Campaigns can also reply publicly to let others know they should check messages & drive further engagement on the post.

Examples:

  • "Check your DMs! πŸ’Œ"

  • "Just messaged you! ✨"

Step 5: Overview & Launch

Review all your campaign settings before creating the campaign.

Tracking Campaign Performance

On the main Campaigns page, you can see all of your created Campaigns and track their performance.

For purchase tracking to work properly, please ensure you have our Shopify App installed.
