Overview
Connecting your email account to Brandwise allows you to manage all of your customer emails directly within our platform. Our email integration, enhanced with AI capabilities and a seamless Shopify connection, helps you streamline your customer support and save time.

Before you begin
To connect your email account, you'll need the login credentials for the email address you wish to connect. For some business accounts, like Microsoft 365, you may need administrator permissions to grant third-party application access. Please check with your IT department if you encounter any permission issues.
Connecting Your Email Account
To get started, navigate to Settings > Email in your Brandwise account and click on "Connect Email". A dialog titled "Connect Email Account" will appear, presenting you with the following options:
Google (Gmail)
Select the Gmail option from the list.
A new window will pop up, prompting you to sign in to your Google account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to grant Brandwise permission to access your email.
Once connected, you will see a confirmation message, and your Gmail account will appear in your list of connected emails.
We use Google's secure OAuth protocol to connect to your account. This means we never see or store your password.
Microsoft 365 (Outlook)
Select the Microsoft 365 option.
A new window will appear for you to sign in to your Microsoft account.
Follow the steps to authorize Brandwise.
After successful authorization, your account will be connected.
If you see an "Admin Approval Needed" error, it means your organization's security settings require an administrator to approve the connection. Please contact your IT administrator for assistance.
Other Providers (IMAP)
For any provider other than Google or Microsoft, simply search your provider name and follow the instructions to configure via IMAP.
Shopify Integration
If you've also connected your Shopify store to Brandwise, your email inbox becomes even more powerful. When you open an email from a customer, you'll see their complete order history and customer details alongside the conversation. This allows our AI to perform actions like tracking orders or processing returns, and it gives you the context you need to provide excellent support without switching tabs.
Troubleshooting
Emails not appearing: If you've connected your account but aren't seeing emails, please allow a few minutes for the initial sync to complete. For IMAP connections, double-check that your email forwarding rules are set up correctly in your provider's settings.
Connection issues: Some email providers, especially for custom domains, require you to enable IMAP access in their settings before you can connect to third-party apps.
